All I Have Is Now

All I have is now. For such a time as this, I was placed upon on this earth.

I am not promised tomorrow; all I have is now.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Now is the time I must adjust my thoughts, my motives, my beliefs. Now is the time I must act in obedience, according to faith. Now is the time to ready myself for what lies ahead.

I cannot relive yesterday; all I have is now.

Now is the time I must choose to let go of the past and its hurts and its oppression, for now is the time I must be free to run the race set before me. Now is the time I must choose to let go of the past and its glory and its fame, for now is the time I must give 100% in response to today’s assignment.

Now is the time to love. Now is the time to encourage. Now is the time to teach. Now is the time to forgive. Now is the time to serve. Now is the time to worship. Now is the time to take hold of the Word for life.

Now is the time to walk away from that which holds me back. Now is the time to press forward into new territory. Now is the time to build a foundation of remembrances, reminders of faith and victory.

Now is the time to live with abandonment as though HE has begun a new thing, for my past has been forgiven and redeemed and my future is secure in victory and for eternity.

All I have is now. For such a time as this, I was placed upon on this earth.

Change Happens

Change happens when Love is given freely.

When I give from my want to cause change, resistance rises up.

When I give from my fear of what might happen, bondage closes in.

Change happens when Love is learned.

When I give by the standard I live by, shame shouts loudly.

When I give by the value I have determined, judgement thrives.

Change happens when Love is experienced.

Wrapped in acceptance and encouragement, I can afford to be open and adaptable.

Standing upon a firm platform of hope and strength, I can afford to dream and to climb.

Bowed in sincere humility and awe, I can afford to love and to serve.

Change happens when Love is given freely.

Freedom in Love gives me strength to grow and room to follow for there are no demands.

Freedom in Love gives me motive to learn and to change for there are no expectations.

Freedom in Love gives me joy and passion for there are no obstacles to being me.

Change happens when Love is given. Freely.

My thoughts tumble quickly, a torrent of cuts, jabs and corrections. The storehouse of my mind is but inches away from the gateway of my mouth. In silence, refusing voice to the whip of my tongue, love is heard.

My emotions tumble quickly, a torrent of fear, resentment and insecurity. The storehouse of my feelings is but inches away from my mind. In silence, replacing feelings with Truth, love reaches out.

Guard my heart, for everything I do flows from it. Guard my mouth, for the tongue gives the heart away every time. Let Love be spoken, in word, in deed, in silence, in Truth.

is spice, is pepper, is salt

when life tastes so bland.

Oh the seduction

is sweetness, is honey

when life tastes so bitter.

Oh how strong the pull

is adventure, is mystery

when life seems dead.
