In the Garden: Grace, Forgiveness and Faith

For by grace, you are forgiven.
And this is not from yourself;  it is a gift.

Seeds of faith are planted
when forgiveness is received.
And this is not from yourself; it is a gift.

With the promise of faith,
based on the assurance of forgiveness,
grace covers the weeds of the past,
enters the soil of the present and
fertilizes the crop of the future.
And this is not of yourself; it is a gift.

From within my cultivated garden,
when I extend forgiveness,
and grace seasons my words and actions,
the gate has then been left open
for the other to harvest faith.
And this is not from yourself; it is a gift.

Seeds of faith are planted
when forgiveness is given.
And this is not from yourself; it is a gift.
