When You Speak

When you speak,
sometimes I hear your father’s voice;
in truth, you look and act like him.

When you speak,
sometimes I will close my eyes,
and hear what must be satan’s voice instead.

When silence returns
and peace is restored,
it is only then that pity replaces fear.

    • Thank you, Robin. Being “really good” at what I do has given me a lifetime of troubles … from those who not appreciate the ease at which the words flow and the message they carry. 😉 But after the silence, eventually comes peace and pity. 🙂
