A Personal Investment

In a world where there is no rhyme or reason, ’tis easy to become numb
to the extremes, and everything in between, of the ways of mankind.

The clarion call is sent forth, the warning ushered and still the march toward destruction moves on.

The day comes when the truth of promise is now a reality. Those who had ears to hear stand back amazed and gobsmacked, in fear and in awesome wonder.

What to do with this new normal when life is surely upended and halted?
Dare I turn from my prideful ways or step across the point of no return?

The saddest part of the consequences of life is not the one particularly who chose not to turn, but the loved ones and the wounded ones left behind.

You reap what you sow and so I’ve been told, always more than what was sown and later. Payday is a personal investment yet the grief and the mourning reach far and wide.
