The torrential rain is falling down all around me. Drenching the soil, the trees and the flowers with life-giving water. Beating the weeds not into submission but into a fury to survive, growth continues and the weeds thrive.
From the rooftop, there is a rhythm sounded out, heard by all who are underneath. Hard and furious to slow and soothing, the tempo changes from moment to moment. No other sound is in the house, other than the riotous thoughts of mind and soul.
The torrential rain is falling down all around me. From the heavenly skies above, far beyond earth’s pull and sway comes droplets of Love. Love’s fierce message will not be denied nor forgotten in the war within. Water, fresh and pure, washes throughly the wound and the pain. Words bitter and damning, crippling and shaming are drowned out by the Word from above.
Torrential rain, torrential Love, please do not stop. Let it forever press upon me.
