When it feels as if you can no longer walk,
when your legs are weak and your feet are lame,
when you can do naught but crawl from here to there,
come to dine at the King’s table.
When it feels as if you can’t breathe,
when it’s earth shattering for your heart to beat,
when what you’ve learned is worse than death,
step outside the tomb wherein you stand.
When the innocence of a child has been taken,
when the trust of a child has been violated,
when the giggles have been replaced with anger,
sit before the Heavenly Father while you grieve.
Come to the King’s table and be fed,
step outside and look for angels of mercy,
sit and be healed and be strengthened,
for your work here on earth is not done.
There is someone who needs you,
for you to have hands of love,
for you to be a harbor for safety,
for you to walk with her on the path to freedom.
